I have yet to pull all mine out and try to arrange them. Today was a baking day. I think my biggest problem will be finding a sashing that will work as well as yours.

Thanks, ladies! I used a fabric collection called Flourish that I've had for a long time. There were a bunch of fat quarters in the greens, pinks and browns and a few fat half yards. I used one of those for the border. I will probably use some of the other pieces for the backing.

The dark green sashing fabric wasn't part of the Flourish collection, but I thought it went well.

Donna, your quilt looks great! I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the BOM this year. I have finished through November now, but I fear I may not have enough of some of my fabrics to to the last block. I will have to work something out to finish.

I just finished the December BOM, having completed 2 blocks for each month. I happen to have a couple of extra blocks I was considering for my month of July, so I put one of them

in the center. I have to figure out what to sash it with and maybe do some rearranging, but I am thrilled with the collection! A sincere thanks to all of you for posting the blocks every month. I've had SO much fun working on this project this year!

Char, that is a super looking quilt. i wonder if you even need sashing. You were Very clever doing your blocks with alternating dark, light that they just fit together beautifully.

Here are mine, just laid out for looking at. ( pretty wrinkly). A couple of months I made three so there are 27 blocks. I am trying to decide on sashing but maybe if I follow Char’s placement of light/dark I might be able to get away without. Also in retrospect, had I stayed with only three or four of each colour, it would be a more unified look.

They look great, Theresa! I'm a sucker for blue & yellow quilts. Well, I guess I'm a sucker for blue & yellow in general...they were our wedding colors, my kitchen is yellow with blue dishes, etc. :)

I love both of the quilts! Char, I probably never would have thought to put those colors together. (I struggle a little with color selection.) But they look wonderful!

Here are mine. I had planned on doing more each month, but that didn't happen. My sister saw them and love them, so I think I will make her a throw (but not for Christmas) :). I think the colors would go in her living room. I'm make another row to make it longer.

I really enjoyed doing the BOM this year. It made me think a little more than I usually do when quilting.

All are beautiful color combinations. I haven't done block of the month in a while. Maybe I'll have to rethink it.

The past couple of weeks I have been going downstairs and rearranging my blocks trying to get an arrangement to click for me. I think I am just not comfortable with all of the blocks right next to each other, but had no fabric left for sashing/borders except white. I took several blocks to Hancock's of Paducah yesterday and came up with this. I like it better with sashing, but before I sew everything together, I wanted some more experienced eyes to take a look and confirm for me. The dark fabric was not what I was expecting to find, but I think it works pretty well. And besides, green IS my favorite color, lol.

It's beautiful! How wide is the sashing? It looks wider than 2" finished.

It will be 2 inches, I just have it laid out on the floor. I wasn't actually going to sew the sashing until I got some feedback, but I think I will now. I thought maybe it looked too dark, but you all put my mind at ease. tyvm!

I meant to add that how to quilt it was a puzzle so I did what someone called ‘ drunken quilting’. No rhyme or reason just long curving lines.
