I just installed this one in my 1/2 bath to replace a 1-bulb flush mount light. Check into semi-flush and be sure to check number of bulbs.

The one in the hall could easily be replaced with a shallow housing recessed can or flush mount look-alike LED ( looks like a recessed can and they are pretty cheap). I would not try to put something there

The one you posted with the clear glass, will not be good lighting for a low light entry, IMO you want some real light there when you need it. 3 bulbs would be nice and convert to a dimmer switch. the bronze medal one really doesn't fit the traditional entry you have, I think it needs to reflect the period of the home a little better but still, do work.

This is Lustre en Transition from Shades of LIght. It's about 18" overall in height, which is too much for an 8' ceiling. It's also available in a darker finish.
