The only way that it can be painted is in separate pieces. Without hardware. If you can’t do that, then leave it alone. Painting it won’t be an improvement. It’s nice as it is.

I agree, it is the only way you can paint it and have it look decent. I also would leave it, its a beautiful little vintage table, just the way it is.

Take your time, look at all the hardware on your table, see what kind of screw drivers you will need, get in good lighting, then realize that the hardware may be tight or stuck a bit to the table. You cannot hurt it and just do one at a time and put all screws and pieces in a ziplock to not loose. You will need to remove every piece to repaint and chalk paint is very forgiving. Read instructions on prepping the table surface before you start. Your first coat will not look exciting but as you get to your second coat it will start to look better and better. For certain spend on a high quality brush!!!
