Maybe the pine needles are thicker this year and fluffier? Whatever the reason, the timing could not be better for you.............BTW: at first I thought this was going to be about having a limit on new daylilies you were going to buy for 2020. As in I planned for 11 but got 40 instead. That's always the problem for me over winter anyway-lol................Maryl

My mind worked just like Maryl's! I was looking in to see what you got, but great that your needles went so far. The subdivision that is building next to us too out half their spruce trees, lo I lost half the needles I usually collect. I mulched some beds with chopped leaves. I much prefer the needles.

I am glad your needles “multiplied” for you. You don’t realize how weak you are until the actual physical labor begins! I have a large stand of pine trees behind my house but can only rake a few because poison ivy/poison oak is rampant in there. I usually rake an area on my road but that has become more dangerous as traffic has increased on this county road. I would absolutely settle for 11=40!!!

At least you were able to gather some of what you needed. Recovery is hard and tiring but stick with the exercises.
