I'm thinking a slate blue or muted teal color would be beautiful. Everyone is doing gray and its already becoming so tedious, so go bold with something different. Here are some ideas.

Are your buildings painted or stained? You might consider media blasting to return stained wood to its original beauty. A major landscaping reno of all the large hedges impinging on the buildings would help a lot. Not sure how easily work crews can access some areas due to overgrown shrubbery. I don't see any welcoming front entries due to the neglected landscaping.

Agree - the large hedges adjacent to front entries should really be trimmed back or removed entirely to display the entrances more prominently. I liked the last one best too. :)

Yep, many hedges will be taken out due to fire hazard. I’ve heard that maintaining stains is more intensive but could be nice I agree.

Staining and then sealing with today's high tech products should do the trick and maintain the ambiance.

They have been painted, for many years. Wouldn't stripping be an enormous undertaking?
