Is it a walkway space? Can you take a photo from further back in the room so we can see the space in question in relation to the rest of the room?

We need to see the entire room. The sectional can be pulled away from the windows

Maybe a bar for drinks or coffee and put a pub table with a couple of high chairs??

Not every space has to be filled. If you think you need something, put a sofa table behind the couch, nearly touching. Try to find one as tall as the couch. Maybe a lamp on it.

Or a long bookcase against the wall, the same height as the wall.

A photo gallery with shelves for the framed photos would display them nicely. Nothing on the floor. Empty space is a luxury in many areas. When you have a lot of people over, you could move the dog bed there temporarily.

Pull the sofa back a bit add apiece of art on the wall next to the 1/2 wall and be done

The issue is that the sectional does not fit the room. It needs 2 sofas plus a couple of chairs.

Maybe pull that sofa out from the window wall a bit and make a continuous walkway in front of the windows and all around the sofa that includes that small area. Why fill it up with anything? Let it be.

Maybe move the dogs bed into that corner and out of the walk space that it appears to be in now.

That is a surprisingly small room to be graced with such large windows.

I think maybe something that gives some height to that corner - artwork a tall book case even a large plant or tree. Then a nice sofa table or sideboard against the wall ...

Take little steps ( even trying with furniture you currently own just to give you an idea before committing to a purchase...

Separate the pieces of the sectional and treat them as separate pieces would be where to start.

Looks like a good place for a soft table & the dog beds.
