Am I going to regret this floor colour? Will it look dated right away?

Background: I bought a three bedroom condo that has not been renovated since 1984. I need to replace the old carpet for the entire open-concept style condo other than in the bathrooms. I gravitate to modern/Scandinavian/MCM.

I have two young teens, and sometimes have pets. I am set on vinyl plank as it is durable, easy to clean and doesnt require constant levels of humidity. Tile is too cold and hard for me other than the bathrooms/entrance.
