My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

What kind of floor is it? I've never seen a texture like this.

Actually, that wasn't a clear representation of what the floor looks like...it doesn't show the texture of the wood. This additional photo is better. (Pardon "Maggie", she's inspecting the new island!)

We have the same type floors in our house and they are referred to as "engineered hardwood flooring hand scraped". If you google that term and click on images, you will see more lovely floors like this! I've attached a pic of mine. The color is cinnamon.

My floors are identical to the picture - mine are not engineered they are 3/4 solid hardwood birch-handscraped...not cheap...but definitely worth the money - they look awesome!
