O Christmas tree!

We aren't having Christmas at our house until NYE, so I'm forgoing the big tree this year.

I've scaled it down to these 2 little accent trees.

Please share your tree!

Pudger, there's a whole thread that was done on December 9. Some beautiful trees and decorations here!

Oh but that thread is at kitchen table. Some of us don’t go there.

Love the “stockings”! The whole arrangement looks great!

Our tree is pretty basic. And pretty lopsided.

    I love Christmas decor threads!

Ours looks the same as it has for the last couple of years, although the topper is different this year.

Our 26 inch tall fake tree purchased from a dollar store this year; after not putting up a tree for years and years, I felt like having one this year. I've really been enjoying this little guy:

This one is 13 inches high and is the centerpiece on the dining table:

Sorry to duplicate a thread, Jadsip. I did search, but didn't see one that was current.

    Lovely trees!!

Such pretty trees large and petite. My tree is not up yet which is typical for me. This weekend my grands will come over for the kids' Christmas party and sleepover. They are old enough to enjoy helping. Plans are to put up the tree, decorate the house, make a craft, bake, and make homemade pizza. Then on the following morning go to the fish market with Grandpa to get the fish for Christmas Eve.

pudger, the fireplace looks just right. very pretty

amy lou, I love the reindeer.

That's okay Pudger, I wanted to make sure you saw a bunch. :-)

Yours looks great, by the way!!

This is year two for my rose gold bedroom tree with vintage ornaments. It made its debut last year when I was just divorced and a little mopey and didn’t feel like putting up the big tree in the living room. I’m no longer mopey, but I still skipped the big tree. The sweet glowing bedroom tree is plenty for me.

I posted mine in the other thread...but in case people want a thread just to see trees...I took a new pic and will post again!

Ugh, click on it....it doesn’t fit otherwise!

We are having some rooms painted so we only just got our tree up this week and decorated last night! (I see I still have to put away the clippers and a few clippings. No other decor on the mantle right now, don’t want to mar the new paint!)

My mother gave me the eyelet angel tree-topper my first year in my first apartment (I had other eyelet decor), and the tree skirt is a literal skirt! It’s my quilted wrap maxi-skirt from the early ‘70s, but it makes a perfect tree skirt (even if it doesn’t go with the fresh Benjamin Moore Quiet Moments). It’s my touch of whimsy for the season, but it sure doesn’t beat pudgder’s sock stretchers for stockings!

I posted on the other thread but I have more gifts wrapped now so it looks a little less lonely under the tree.

and here is our city’s ‘Living Christmas Tree’. We are usually among the singers but this year we were spectators. This is presented in several performances through the weekend.

    Enjoyed everyone’s trees and decorations.

Ours is still a work in progress. It took several hours to get it off the roof, thru the door, up in a stand (the first one bent), and tethered. Plus, one side had ice on the branches and it is dripping all over. As I told the Longwood ladies, it was a bit of an ill-considered folly at 14 feet.

Awww, a fellow member of the “ridiculously large real tree club!” If we met in person, we’d have to exchange the (sap covered) secret handshake.

Here’s mine. It’s much larger than I intended but the firehouse didn’t have anything smaller. My ornaments are a mish mosh of stuff I e collected over the years, some of them made by my kids. I enjoy seeing your trees and look forward to Mtn’s very large masterpiece.

It's perfectly symmetrical, Ded! very nice.

Yeah, umm, let's keep the expectations low. DH and I scrambled last night (while you and Annie strolled under the lights) as I started to panic about how to decorate the monster. We hit several Michael's, Home Goods and Targets trying to find a sufficient quantity of matching 1) wired ribbon and 2) lights. The issue is not just height; i think the base is almost 8 feet in diameter.

The tree is till defrosting even though we locked it in a room with the fire going and closed the doors! Hoping we get it decorated before New Year's; but tomorrow we spend the day in PA with my family....

PS Whilst scouring the various stores, i got ... another box! So cute; its The Nutcracker. : ) $3.99.

I was ready to just take this home, but it was the wrong color.; )

Mtn, I had visions of you wending your way from Michaels to Target to Home Goods on your trip home. Your husband must be a saint. Mine would point the car home and that would be the first and last stop. That tree dress reminded me of this one I saw at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. The alps and villages went all the way around.

OutsidePlaying, the living tree is amazing! Everyone's trees look wonderfully festive.

We were at our tiny lake cabin for a few days (golf cart parade - 2nd place - woohoo!) this is our tree there that is on the deck. Solar lights so it safely lights up when we aren’t there.

I am so behind with everything Christmas this year, but I am catching up. We decorated our main tree, that we call “The Story of Us Tree” just last night.

The Western-themed guest room tree is still not done.

This is my kitchen tree, with an ornament going on every day in December:

This is our Native American tree with small ornaments I’ve collected over the years:

And, they are all artificial as both DD and I are allergic to real pine trees. They smell great but give us hives if we touch them.

OMG Lynn - I can’t believe you have all those tree! You are very ambitious. Even in retirement I‘m barely up for one!

We put our tree up tonight at our cabin and had annual decorating party with nextdoor neighbors. Last year the tree tipped over but this year I think it’s going to hold with the new Krinner stand. It’s a memory tree - everything is varying degrees of old and holds a memory of some one or some place.

I refer to this as our "rescue tree." My department chair buys it for the office and then I have taken it home the past couple of years. It is very dry so it is in the kitchen, and I do not want to put lights on. If you touch the branches, they break off. So, I don't know how long it will last.

Oops, missed the star on top!

Ours clocked in at 14' officially, we did trim the top off a bit. For reference the fpl is taller than I am; its is ~6'.

more of a close up; I adore my ribbon!

Wow, Mtn, that is a gorgeous tree. And of course your gift pile beneath is also beautiful.

I could just hear my DH if I tried to bring one in that size! Nuh-uh, not happening!

Mtn, that is magnificent! A space that grand deserves a big tree.

Thank you, I am just tickled pink with my tree!

The room we have our tree in was our living room for years, and then a year or two ago when i was rearranging our dining room to create a seating area in there, DH moved things all around between our "craft room", DR and this room. So this octagonal room has been our dining room since. But it is such a whimsical room, being mostly windows and octagonal, having a gas fpl (we don't bother with our real fireplaces much) and with all the window seats ...it really screams holiday. So for Christmas this year we moved the DR table out and put the seating back in.

One of the windowseats, with present wrapping in progress

But I really don't want to even leave my tree, so next we moved a smaller breakfast table in so we could dine there as well. I told my DH I may make him move the mattress in there.
