Want to paint my trim white

We bought this house a year ago and the brown color is not what I would have chosen. We don't want to spend the money to repaint the entire house just yet. I was thinking of painting the fence a darker brown and the vertical trim at the edges white to help take away from all the brown. When we moved in the garage door was brown as well, so making that white helped a lot.

What do you guys think?

Cant see the front door. Maybe some white trim and a bright door would help. Black touches would be nice. Maybe the arbor and the fence.

It reminds me of a photo i just posted. I really like the color. It just needs a bright accent to pop.

The window is a little out of scale with the wall, so i would add shutters in this case. Then move your house numbers to the left in a vertical position for impact. (They are lost on that big wall)

The shutters make it. Plus you have the white gutters to frame it. Very nice. That is why I am thinking the white trim would help. Our front door is set way down the "hallway"...and is brown. :) I was thinking a red or orange to make it pop, but it is so far back I am not sure it will help at all.

I see your point about the white trim. But it may end up being a brown stripe between the garage door and the white corner. Not sure.

Maybe you could use white trim to indicate were the entrance door is and to set it off like these photos. This is a little tricky to figure out - but your white window in the covered area is quite visible, so maybe just adding white trim around your door and painting it bright red ( or green) would draw the eye.
