This is an excellent start for many Rheumatologic conditions. Disease modifying therapy prevents joint damage. Many patients do very well on it.

Ok great! My husband doesn't want me to start it, but I have to start somewhere, and if for some reason it doesn't do me anygood, then we will try something different. The labs were closed when we got done, so I go Monday for bloodwork, then I am already preset to go back at the end of January for more. So it really depends on what my blood work says as to what he will put me on.

Alana8aSC, do you have an autoimmune disease? If so have you heard of Low-dose Naltrexone (LDN)? I have a bad case of Hashimoto's and its made a huge difference in my life.

Naltrexone is an anti-opioid but its being used off-label in autoimmune patients.

Humble, so far all bloodwork was fine. Waiting on one still. But also my flareup had just gone down prior to bloodwork, Shelia, would that affect the bloodwork? I am actually feeling very frustrated right down. I have scarring on my lungs from my body attacking it's self, and no definitive answers. So I am still in wait.

The Methotrexate prevents joint damage so is used between flares too. They just would not wants blood counts too low. I saw sarcoidosis eventually burn out too. The body has remarkable recuperative powers. Wishing you a better 2020, Alana.
