I'm in the same boat. Deciding between WinDor and Mi windows and patio doors. Hopefully someone has some feedback.

Neither will ever be considered a quality product. MI is a builders basic bottom of the barrel product and WinDor is laying directly on top of them.

So, what do you recommend? Is Windsor considered better quality?

New construction? Vinyl? Fiberglass? Wood? Wood Clad Aluminum? Aluminum? Casements? Double Hungs? Price range of the project? Impact Resistant required? What do you want the exterior to look like? Interior?

Millworkman, this will be new construction, fiberglass or quality vinyl, white color inside and out, double hung, project is custom ranch approx. 300k, no impact resistance required.

Marvin Elevate for a Ultrex/Wood or look into Okna vinyl new construction would be my .02 cents.

who is installing the windows?

Some of the Quality vinyl window brands are only available through dealers, some Do not sell the windows without installation.

Soft-Lite should be available in your area.

I've seen WinDor on new construction and they are some of the best. Beautiful and heavy duty.

Did anyone end up installing Windor? We are looking at putting in a folding glass door. Deciding between Windor and La Cantina. I believe Windor is less expensive but I have been told it is just because La Cantina is a big name. So I'm wondering what the experience has been with Windor.

What I know of WinDor from the commercial world is an average at best window, quite low on the food chain. LaCantina while not available in my area has a reputation of being a good product with good customer service/support. You may want to look at EuroDoor as well Jen. Have used them on a few projects recently with good sucess.
