Latex Paint Additive?

Hello all! I have a question (or two).

I'm painting the trim in our house. I'm using SW ProClassic. I did a test section using gloss and going to buy another quart in semigloss to see which we like better.

My question is: I'd like to minimize brush strokes as much as possible. I see several recommendations for additives such as Floetrol or Sunnyside M-1. Have any of you used these and are they any good?

Bonus question: I'm cleaning the old paint really well with a TSP substitute and nylon scrubbing pad. I'm only sanding areas that need to be sanded. The test area seems to be adhering well. I'm going to need two coats to cover well. Do I need to sand in between coats, especially if using gloss?

Thanks!
