I don't think the lamps are a good choice here. You need something a bit larger and lighter in feel and color. Mirror size depends on ceiling height and only if they are on each side.

Thank you- I agree with the lamp comment. I’ve seen the idea all over Pinterest and love the idea of bouncing light off of them. We have high, pitched ceilings. Although the table in the attached pic is smaller, it’s what I’m going for. From what I’ve read , 20-22” is what I should be going for. Both sides will mirror each other with same lamp and mirror, but masculine and feminine differences on either side. We want to put art above the headboard and felt it would be ‘art’ heavy if we did print behind the lamps as well. Open to not hanging anything at all and just swapping lamps and making decor more substantial. TIA

I like the unexpected, and think mirrors can be pretty over a nightstand. I would go with an airier lamp, like the crystal ball posted above, but maybe with a more modern shade.

You need to show the whole wall and you need to decide on lamps before the mirrors can be chosen. BTW way I like that look if done properly since for me art behind a lamp does not work and usually above the lamp is too high.I also don’t like a bunch of stuff on a night table it leaves no room for a glass of water and my book and glasses. Choose your new lamps then come back

@Laura - Love the look you're going for. I have something very similar going on. Swap out the lamps first to see if you actually need the mirrors. I have art above my bed, but nothing behind the nightstands and it looks nice. Either can work, but you may not need anything (a money saver).
