I bought a mulberry tree and the fruits were tiny. So I chopped it down thinking of getting rid of it. It never wanted to die and send out shoots. Then someone said that mulberry has to grown into bigger fruit. To this date, I don't even know if this is true. Another 3 years ago, I succeeded and now I regret having done that. I really don't know what I have been doing. Now I have 2 packets of mulberry seeds! The more fool, me!

You must have the intuition .. Good for you. Sometimes, we just intrinsically or intuitively know that something WILL root, grow or flourish ..

Wow, that was a real surprise, to have small fruits then the rooted shoots of the same parent are bearing big fruits, it could be because the mother itself is a hybrid. I have an hybrid morus alba(white) /rubra, morus nigra (black mulberry) and morus rubra (red mulberry) I found most of my mulberry cuttings root well in summer. I end up a total of 8 rooted mulberry cuttings, so I will give some to mum and a friend. I keep a hope for my avocado cuttings. I want a little fruit garden in my front yard.

My understanding is avocados, like mangoes, can be very difficult to root. I would grow up some seedlings and graft to them if I were in your climate. A seedling would have a vigorous root system that would probably hold and anchor well in tropical storms.

Thanks that's the best way! Too late for me, I need to look for a seed to propagate first. For now the cuttings are still looking good, I have put them near to my window in indirect sunlight, I'm doing the same for lychee and the same way I do for my mulberry cuttings which all have rooted.
