My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Hello Amy- We used the Buechel Stone- Fon Du Lac, Heritage Blend. But you might note that simply specifying that stone, will not get you the look that you see here. We worked very carefully with the masons to customize just the right grout color mix and grout application for a type of overgrouting to get this look. It took nearly a month on-site with our designers and the stone craftspeople working together to achieve this. This is one of those specific situations where it really pays to have skilled design and construction professionals with a shared vision for a project!

      rafalpreis- This starts with a standard solid-core, custom-hung door-- with a custom veneer installed by the contractor's skilled craftspeople. Our designers traveled to a shop in the Olympic Peninsula that had salvage beams from an old sawmill. They selected the slightly-weathered product and instructed them how to mix the various colors together to achieve this highly-customized look.

      This isn't the kind of thing you will find at a door-store!

      So you're saying I will probably not pick that up at Lowes or Home Depot? lol. They are simply stunning. I figured they were completely custom but was hoping that it was at least at one shop that made custom doors. Sounds like this involved multiple artisans and craftsman. Thank you for your response and this is simply one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen.
