We have a new sofa upholstered in crypton home fabric. The salesperson sold me this sofa by promising the fabric could Be cleaned and didn’t stain easily. I’ve had the sofa for a little over a month and my son got a small amount of chocolate in it. We don’t eat on the sofa but apparently he had some chocolate on his body somewhere and we didn’t realize it (he is only 6).

I tried to spot clean the sofa following the directions for the fabric that the company provided. Not only did the stain not come out fully, but the fabric appears to have faded slightly where I was spot cleaning. I followed the directions exactly. Now there is a noticeable stain with a white ring around it.

I’m just sick about this. Has anyone else had issues with Crypton Home fabric? I’m more upset with the fading than the chocolate stain because I feel like the stain might come out if I get it professionally cleaned. However I am afraid the fabric might have faded permanently.

Any ideas on what i should do?
