We are restoring an 1800's German style rock home and need to replace a deadbolt that was added later on the front door. We have been able to refurbish the door itself and the mortise rim look but would like to have the added security of the deadbolt. Over the years, the key was lost to open the deadbolt from outside. I am hoping to find one of similar size so that it will cover the hole made from this one but would like a darker color to match the rim lock. I've tried most of the antique and reproduction hardware sites I am aware of but since the added deadbolt is not really a vintage item I have been unable to find something similar. I thought I would reach out to see if anyone has a suggestion on where I might find a suitable replacement. I've attached a photo showing the rim lock and the current deadbolt. Thanks for your ideas!
