You absolutely can paint vinyl siding. We used a quality Sherwin Williams paint that was recommended by our paint store pro. I do recall reading that you can’t go either too much lighter or darker. When we painted the siding, I only wanted it to last a few years until we could afford to put up new siding. That was over ten years ago, and unfortunately it still looks perfect, so my husband won’t agree to changing it.
