There is absolutely nothing about that that needs a revamp. It’s right in style trend as is. Natural wood tones and white.

I would change out the railing with a metal one - something fairly simple but with some substance to it. Would especially do this is you are installing darker wood flooring.

The house is traditional (columns, crown molding, wainscoting) so I would not replace the balusters, etc. I would keep the balusters white and either stain the handrail and newels to match the stain of the darker flooring and treads that you plan to do, or paint the handrail and newels black with a durable paint like Fine Paints of Europe.

I agree with Carolae. Every home can use a touch of black or dark wood, so here's a good spot for it and you may match it to your flooring.
