We just spent $18,000 to have our pool and spa remarcited and tiles redone. When they laid the tiles on the steps in the pool, they didn't line them up and now they are crooked. The ones on three ledges in the deep parts of the pool are set at different distances from the lip of the ledge so one ledge is closer to the wall while the other two are farther from the wall. This cannot be fixed easily without it possibly being more noticeable. I'm sure most guests will not notice, but for the price, I notice! What seems like a reasonable cost offset to cover this? We are negotiating with the builder now and he is just not very excited that we feel this is a problem.
