I would have tend to say leaves burnt from light change. But you say low light?

It’s 25 Farads, lowest I could get from my local garden center. It was recommended for succulents and African violets. The new leaves look just fine, nice and green.

Yes, I said light change. Ie the older leaves were adapted to less light, the newer ones grew under that light regime and are adapted to what they're getting (note that they are smaller and glossier).

Hi all, at one of our AV club meetings, we were bringing in plants we had trouble with. I brought in Granger's Cameo Queen. One of the people looking at our troubled plants said you changed something with respect to this plant. She noted that some of the older leaves were darker and the younger ones were lighter. I had moved it from the dining room to the back bedroom window. It is now staring at the backyard and not at the car in the driveway, and that subtle change was noticeable.

Farad is a unit of a capacitance - doesn't have any relation to a light intensity - so whoever was brainwashing you in a garden center...

Footcandle or lux - what they use. But 25 foot candles is so low - you won't be able even to read.

So we do not really know what is there.

Looks like a light burn to me - it is cosmetics, not dangerous. New leaves come healthy and you can gradually remove the damaged ones.

Regarding your terrarium... Normally you assemble it from the plants that have similar requirements - if it jungle - everything is high humidity and dripping - and if it is a desert - you keep it dry and include succulents, rocks and cow skulls if you want. Usually succulents can take higher light and they require different more permeable soil for their roots - peat moss is not it.

Your terrarium has both succulents and ferns and AVs. While from an artist point of view - all the combinations of colors and textures are very interesting - from the point of view of maintenance - it is impossible to keep them all happy at the same time. My suggestion is - to keep them all in small pots -you can always dig them in and cover the edges - and rotate.
