I would like to see a photo from the window towards the door and closet . But , at first glance I would utilize the wall with the large dresser and put up shelving above and all around to put your handbags ..and all the things you need. Having them all over the room looks uncomfortable . Do you have room for the tall dresser of drawers to put on the left side of your bed or inside the closet ? Try and eliminate the cluttered look by placing all on one wall ..you could , if you wanted , even put a Tv on top of the large dresser across form the bed and shelf units all around and almost up to the ceiling ...this way you might have room to have a seat and a lamp by the window ...
It all depends on How long will you be staying in this place ?

How often do you use the patio door? Is there another one that can be used to get to yard? If so, then I would I would try putting the bed or the dresser in front of it. (Or even something in front of the stationary door). I know that raises concerns about the view from the yard into the house, but at this point it's just a random thought.

You actually have the room in the best set up. However, I would

1) Turn the tall cabinet to face the same way as the dresser

2) Consider a larger cabinet to replace the tall cabinet

3) Get some under the bed storage if you don't have any

4) Remove the odd purse hangers.

5) Remove the other plastic storage items from the room. Can go in the closet.

6) Get drapes for the sliders.

7) Lamps for tables

8) Art for above dressers.

9) Good time to go through your clothes and see if you can eliminate some.

This room can be all that you want it to be. Art, bedding, area rug, etc.

The position of the bed is fine, it's getting the organization of your stuff that is not. After you, donate, throw out, and learn to that when you bring something in you need to let something go, all will work in this space.

You need to put like things together, to organize and see what you really need to add the storage that will work for you.

I can see two gold colored narrow shelving unites flanking that sliding glass door. You can use your stuff as accessories on your shelves. Handbags on one shelf, jewelry tree on another, shoes the bottom shelf, etc.

If you don't want your stuff to be seen, invest in two narrow amoires to flank the sliding glass doors for more storage.
