I divided my Quilting Bee this year so here it is, smaller but cute.

I had a very nice Queen Josephine but it just faded away after about ten years. I replaced it last year. QJ always reminds me of our friend Josephine that always had beautiful pictures and was so eloquent with her postings. Miss her.

The cats in the sunshine, so true how they like to do that! That last one is funny. It is the dog's house after all, lol. ....Edit later: (doing that a lot lately, lol) I thought those were cats in the sun, that's what I'm used to seeing! Dogs like it, too. :-[)

No pic of Queen of the Seas. I moved it and wow that was a job! Crossing my fingers it will like its new home and regain its size quickly.

Sandyslopes, I gave my calla lilies to my daughter in Texas. She has better growing conditions for them then I do. They always came back but with few blooms. Your callas are beautiful.

old_dirt I had QJ and gave it away only because I didn't have a spot for it and the person really, really wanted it. I got another partly because I like it and as a reminder of our friend Jo. I miss her too.

Spring Peepers

Paula, I just love all your “when you lie on your resume” jokes, but seeing Big Bird behind Darth Vader was almost traumatic! I taught preschoolers-kindergarten and he was a kind hero!!! hahaha! I laughed so hard!

I knew the Queens would be on stage today. But alas, I have none....yet! let Me do comments:

Everyone’s Queen Josephine is stunning! Let that be said, but I was interested to see all the variety in sizes, leaf shape, fullness and edge coloring. I have been told this is a good sun tolerant hosta so may purchase for the sun bed that’s going to be planted.

Queen of the Sea, also Wide variety in Colors surprised me.

beth, yours is new and so upright and a medium green; love your fur baby, name?

sunnywood, your Queen of the Sea shows everyone how large she gets, and yours is a dark green

sherrygirl, your QoS wins the prize ( only in my book, mind you) for its absolutely gorgeous blue/green color

Greensboro Red Camellia starting to bloom.

I really need to memorize the name of this plant. I mainly call it “Oh Wow!”

Here are some mahonia’s blooming rear center and one of my daphne odoras in full bloom. The scent of a daphne will stop you in your tracks.

Fragrant winter-bloomers blooming now in my garden are daphne, mahonia, Edgeworthia, winter honeysuckle and Chinese witch hazel,

Had to look up what Que Demonios meant - love that! I think it should be used for a weirdly shaped / contorted hosta.

Decided to put it centered in a pot. I think it looked OK, but I think I would change it up next year.

I found this cicada protruding from my wooden deck. Took a few photos during the transformation.

Fantastic Cicada pics Newhostalady! I’ve found plenty of shells but never witnessed the birth!

Great pictures Newhostalady! I constantly find the empty brown shells all over the garden in the summer, but have never seen one emerging!

Thanks ConnieMay and djacobz! This cicada was easy to find. I was just mad at myself for forgetting about the cicada and not using the opportunity to take more photos! It was quite fascinating to see the changes. Good photo opportunities don't last long!
