I have a lovely peony, shorter than most, with comparatively small leaves, which blooms a punch-your-eye-out dark pink very early in the season. Then it looks a lovely green for a while. However, by end July it looks positively fried.

It's been doing that for years and so I doubt its any sort of disease or pest. It just looks burned, with pale, curled up leaves. It is in full sun and I always thought peonies rather like that. I have another type right next to it who's not a bit bothered by the sun and heat.

Given that peonies aren't crazy about being moved, would it be wise to move the plant to the east side of the house? The other option is to grow something taller in front of it, I suppose, to provide shade in late summer.
