kate I do apologize, I thought I was posting on my Houzz page, I have must of clicked and uploaded in the wrong area. These web links can get a bit confusing. But, now that I see it may be of a concert I am sure this will not happen again.

Please share the refrigerator make and model. I have the exact same situation - wall on left hand side of refrigerator. I am having a difficult time finding one that fits the space with the door opening and drawers can be removed for cleaning.

Purchased at a bundle deal at Home Depot LG brand.

Someone screwed up that refridgerator placement. And what's with the tiny sink? Think it looks like an efficiency motel room.

here is the before pictures of this kitchen It may look tight there was a wall dividing
the kitchen and the dining room, I openned up the wall addes a sliding glass door. where the new kitchen window was at there was a door to a falling eclosed porch. build a new deck and garage.

Definite improvement from that sad original picture:

- No, that refrigerator door won't open all the way. It'll open to 90 degrees, but reaching into the freezer portion won't be easy.

- I like that the upper cabinets are simple and reach the ceiling, but drawers would've been better than standard cabinets on the lowers .

- Removing the wall /adding the island was a good choice, and the sliding door adds great light.

- Are those shallow cabinets facing the kitchen side of the island? With a table space right there by the sliding door, I would've given up the island seating for full-depth storage in the island.

- I see an electrical outlet on the back side of the island and another towards the corner. I hope more exist.

- The sink is on the small side, but it's a nice one -- and appropriate to this small kitchen.

- No lighting over the island?

- Microwave over the range is never a welcome choice.

- The colors are nice and neutral; I like that they lean towards taupe rather than over-done gray.

You can open the freezer door, but can you get the ice drawer or the shelves out for cleaning or repositioning. I prefer to be able to open the doors fully to the sides for just that reason.

I like the new kitchen. I wish mine were as nice.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the microwave over the stove. I see many kitchens that have that. Larger, more upscale kitchens do have microwaves placed elsewhere but I think it's fine in a smaller kitchen.

Hopefully it sells. If not, you can make it into a rental and you know for next time.

I agree that the kitchen is a great improvement over the original. The refrigerator doors won't be able to open against that left wall. It may be too late for this kitchen, but perhaps the OP can learn for future kitchens that the doors need to be able to open fully, not just 90 degrees, in order to remove drawers and shelves for cleaning the interior of the fridge/freezer. These are the small things that can impede a sale and the seller is never the wiser unless someone informs the seller. There would be buyers that would pass on the house just because of this one item.

Truth is in the pudding. Let us know your costs and profit after sold. Frankly it wouldn't have taken much to improve where you started.
