Design Dilemma Kitchens

Vadara Quartz finish

I was recently turned onto Vadara quartz when looking for a Carrara looking quartz. The look fits the bill, but getting the sample home the finish doesn’t look quite right, something is off. Maybe it’s intentiona, but the finish doesn’t look ’polished’, it looks to be something between a polished and a matte. Are my eyes playing tricks on me or are they going for this look?

Did you ask at the store where you got the sample ? I have no idea without seeing the sample in person.

Hi. Does it look like a coating of hairspray? I see that on the sample of Carrara Nuovo Valdara and also on a sample of U|Quartz brand. Is that typical for all quartz?

Hi AmyK! Did you ever get an answer to your question? I am seeing this on some samples I have received as well. I agree, it almost looks like a coating of hairspray. I realize this post is from a long time ago so maybe you received an answer elsewhere?
