Red doors are good luck/fung shui. Maybe brite red depending the direction door faces. That yellow is gorg!!

I just don’t think I’m brave enough to go for the yellow. Our house already sticks out a bit in the subdivision with the dark siding and brown garage door— let alone having a yellow door! 😂

Well, I like the yellow door, too. If not, go with something light/bright to give the door more presence and pull it out of the shadows. Even white would work, especially with some color in the landscaping.

I would match the garage door. With the addition of stone, you will have enough color going. You could mix in some additional color with planters or landscaping.

Benjamin Moore recommended AGAINST a yellow front door when I was trying to make a similar decision. The fella said yellows fade quickly. The reason I asked him (instead of just going for it) was because the shade I chose was classified as an "interior" shade. It could be mixed for exterior, but it wasn't classified that way. I guess my advice is to check the shade and make sure it's classified as "exterior"; from what I could tell, this would give you some assurance that the color would last a while when exposed to the elements.

Go for a stain to match the garage door! I love yellow too - but when we built our home we went with a brown to match the wooden garage door. I loved the idea of yellow - but I did image decorating for holidays with a yellow door. I realize it's not a *big deal* - but while yellow would be perfect for spring and summer, I might wish I had something different for winter/holiday décor. I think the red you selected is beautiful because it's more versatile than yellow - it works for all 4 seasons, if you like to do front porch décor!

I would paint the garage door to match the siding and choose whatever color you want for the door. The yellow would look amazing.

I would choose brown grout for your stone. The stone has a reddish tone every now and then. I like the sun dried tomato front door. Landscaping with reds, oranges and yellows.

My vote is also to match the garage door. I feel like your house would look very patriotic with red, white, and blue. Not sure if you would see that as a good or bad thing.

With the dark brown garage, maybe a coppery red or pumpkin.
