I wouldn't install either. Which room needs one - LR or DR?

#1 looks functional loft/modern. #2 reminds me of my beaded jewelry. This is picky cause you didn't ask - but why do you need new fp tile? Because the ceiling has grey doesn't mean it can't 'stand alone'.... anyone else think so?

Before I leave houzz for the night - my idea if you like simple structure but with group of lights too -

The chandelier is for the family room, to replace a ceiling fan that was there prior.

I love the first one you show and think it will look great over the table though.

I too vote against any chandelier there. I think the coffered ceiling is enough (the ceiling is a bit out of place with the shutters and the adjacent beadboard ceiling, and the dark paint inside the coffers makes it even less cohesive, but that is for an other thread).

No need for the chandelier. It doesn't fit in the family room at all. If you need more light, replace the table lamp shown with one more current, taller, and brighter. Get a floor lamp for one end of the sofa.

If those are the 2 options, I would go with A, it adds a bit of an industrial vibe.

I would consider a ceiling fan before a chandelier especially if you live in a warmer climate.

You have a very traditional ceiling and you are trying to use a very modern style. It's very tricky to make that combination work. And, since you asked...This last one is a no.

No chandelier. Almost all the responses on your post are telling you no chandelier. Listen to them.

Another vote for no. None of the ones you've selected because they are too modern for your traditional space. I think any chandelier will be too busy for your coffered ceiling.

No chandelier. There's no point having one in the family room at all. The dining room, maybe, but sometging along more traditional lines would suit the house better than the contemporary ones posted.

Have you considered mounting the TV on the back side of the pony wall? It sure doesn't appear comfortable on the media easel.
