Rain chain advice

Hi,

I'd like to install a rain chain at a corner of a small garage. That side does have a main downspout taking away most of the water, but this end leaks a bit so I thought that I might as well divert that into a barrel until I can get that gutter replaced. The leak causes water to drip down and into the foundation of the garage (really more of a large, old shed with studs placed directly on the pad, so this is going to start rotting)

The trouble with a rain chain is that the garage has a wooden siding and I worry that a rain chain might just create a lot of splashing to cause even more damage.

I plan on using a simple hardware chain, perhaps weave some rhinestone bling through it for a little extra cottage garden shine. So there would not be a lot of resistance on the way down. Still, will I end up with a lot of splashing during downpours?

I've seen some videos of rain chains that cause quite a bit of splashing, but they were quite elaborate ones where water bounces off a lot of surfaces.
