I wouldnt be using any gray tones in a basement with almost no natural light. Try for bright and clean yellows, (no muddy tones), or bright and clean looking whites etc.

I really want a clean white but not super super white. Any recommendations?

Because of the lack of light, the only way to find a white that doesnt look dirty or muddy, is to get many samples and put them on poster paper and move them around your room, at different times of day and evening, and hopefully will find just the right one for your basement, that makes it look lighter and brighter.

If it's that dark youd probably want lights down there, so get those in first and go from there.

I recently used Sherwin Williams White Duck. My trim is bright white and the white duck is creamier.

How can anyone comment without knowing your floor finish and the furnishings? Is this a work out area, a storage area, a living area? Good lighting is always key in a basement and knowing that before discussing paint is needed as well.

I took a video but only realized now that Houzz doesn’t allow videos so I took screenshots of the video. I’m the screenshots I only had one row of lights on and caught the window in one of them. Currently the walls are only primed. And I attached a photo of the flooring that is going to be put on once we paint. I also attached a pano view picture of what it looked like (taken before the walls were spackled and primed) but all the lights on.

I am in the same dilemma. I believe that we may go with BM Cotton Balls, or BM Navajo white, or SW Creamy. None which have a grey undertone but a yellow undertone.

That is very grey so please no more grey toned walls....what will furnishings be and function of space? What are the main colors you see upstairs?

The couch will be a dark brown leather sectional that is being reused from upstairs family room. Upstairs is also unfinished so the walls are just primed still.

Space will just be a hang out spot for kids.

You could go with BM white Dove or BM Navajo white both which are creamy but Navajo will look a bit more yellowish. Have you thought of doing an accent wall maybe in a fun wallpaper? This would break up all the white

Silver drop may be too much Grey undertones. You may want to try winds breathe BM which is a beautiful neutral and goes well with white trim.
