I would do something plain for the walls. Your floor is quite dramatic so probably want to stay calm for the rest of the finishes. Choose a color and do a simple tile.

I was thinking maybe just white subway tile on the walls with charcoal grout and white or black mosaic tile on the shower floor.

Are you using ceramic tile or cement tile in that pattern? and do you have samples? I ordered samples of the ceramic version and found it was a very blue-gray white and hard to harmonize with white subway tiles. If the two materials are not next to each other then it could work. Just compare the samples of any tile you are considering in your own home and light to avoid surprises.

They are porcelain. And good point. I'll order a sample for sure before I decide on the rest.

@calidesign ok...this helps a lot. Thank you. Maybe i'll do the white subway with white grout and then white tile with dark grout in the shower like you suggest.

What about a large format porcelain white tile for shower walls to minimize grout lines and cleaning and gray tiles with gray grout on shower floor. I would hero ease of cleaning in mind if the bathroom is used daily by 3 kids.

I like the idea of repeated the shape with less drama for the shower walls, like a shiny white hexagon in the same size with white grout.

Can that go in the shower on the wall(s)? It would make quite a statement, and you wouldn’t be cleaning white floor tile with kids.
