Window treatment for triple slider window

We have a triple section slider door/window that used to have a vertical blind. Looking for ideas for a new treatment that won't cost a fortune. Do I go with drapes? Is there any other alternative? Only time it is closed is while we are out of town. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Can you share a picture of the space? Do you have room for pulling back the curtain panels when they aren't being used?

I like most of the the advice in this graphic about hanging curtains. Make sure your curtains are full, don't unnecessarily cover the windows and trim.

I don't agree that curtains should go up to the ceiling, sometimes they look jammed up there.

I used solar shades under a wooden valance. Very clean streamlined look

I've got roller blinds - one is single width to cover the first panel, the other is double width.
