I like the picture over the mantle. It brings in a lot of color and interest. What would the mirror reflect? I always like a mirror near the entrance for the last minute check going out the door. I would also look for a narrow console table for underneath it. A place to set things down when you come in the door.

Art is always better above a mantel, though can't say I love that piece all that much, a bit larger would be better. : ) Don't junk up the hearth below, the lantern is enough. No to the flowers in the foyer corner.

I like the artwork over the mantel. I would remove the two candles on the mantel as well as the vase of flowers and the lantern.

The art needs to be bigger and hung above the FP , get rid of all the fake flowers , no candles a narrow ledge under whatever you put n the entry . IMO unless this is your exit point a pice of art there too you don’t need a mirror

Don’t try to over stage. Simpler is often better.

I would not add anything to the mantel. For the hearth, add black metal container of wood and fire handling accessories, shovel, pick, etc. What are those called????

You could also hang the artwork and lean another smaller piece in front of it. For example, one of the pieces to the left of the window. Maybe give that a try and see how it looks.

Those hurricanes are way too traditional for your room. I wouldn't use the mirror either

I think the artwork is proportioned wrong. Something more rectangular and not as tall. I like how Bev's piece frame ties with the mantel.

between the mirror and the picture over the fireplace, I like the picture better. I think a rectangle picture would look better but the current one is not a deal breaker. I would still use it over the fireplace. I agree on not junking up the area around the fire place.

Beverly I love that mock up just wish I seen it before I purchased the art. I have to make the art work...could you show me how to make the art work over the mantle.

Fire irons. That's what you need. Not much else.

Yes. The left side is too tiny and it looks grey. The right side is too big and too tall. I would leave the bottom blank.

You may be able to get a credit towards a new piece of art if you ask them.

Yayagal I thought about asking to return it. But I’m staging the home to sell and I love the piece and want to take it to our next home.

I like the colors in the art that Beverly posted. They seem to go better with your brick to me. Just overall calmer.

We live in a split level and this table is at the top of the stair from the entry door. The picture over the fireplace use to be over the entry table.

Stick with the art and hang it 5" above the mantel. Empty the blue vase and place it to the right of the art. Add fire tools to the hearth and keep it simple. Use the mirror and lantern in the entry. Discard all the fake flowers.
