well, I don't think the bathroom is a practical size, and I also dont think you need a tub. I would think it is safe to say you need to make that space bigger to have actual room. Do you have a cold cellar?

I don't think you need anything at the bottom of the stairs, its a landing area. if you can put storage under the stairs that would be awesome. you dont want to clutter up the pathway with too much stuff.

What do you really need in this space? Does it need an office area, does it even really need a bedroom? If so could the office and the bedroom cohabitate?

Id be thinking about the use of pocket doors here to keep door swing issues to a min.

Thanks! My drawing scale size may be off. I'll see if I can attach the main floor floorplan to give a better idea of the size. It's a much bigger space than that. We wanted to have a toy area, space for elliptical, and TV area. The bedroom is for guests. I'd love to have a tiny office/work area. I would put a shower only in the washroom

Unless you drive a Schwinn your garage will be frightfully small.

The garage fits 2 cars and doesn't factor into this design. The main floor photo is just to compare the room sizes for reference. My question was just for the basement. Thanks

If your home is under construction, consider putting only one wide garage door for your garage and, if there isn't room for two vehicles, you could park only one vehicle in there, keeping the rest of the space for storage. If practical, you might consider creating a carport beside the garage.
