Flo Mangan, yes I agree on the color. We are going to work on our living room next and then I hope to incorporate some color yes!!! And my husband hates a low hanging light - I literally got to choose everything but the barn door which he chose - so I gave in on the light hahaha :) He didn't want the view out our large window obstructed. Thank you!

Thanks all. I get that everyone has different tastes, we absolutely are in love. We didn't have a designer and all that stuff, so this is not a post to say "Hey, look at our awesome kitchen!" This is just a post to show our kitchen in case any of the aspects are what people are looking for (I looked at SO many pictures I cannot tell you) and want to know what brand it is etc. and to tell you to do what makes you happy :) Again, if you're planning to use that kitchen for awhile anyway. If you're going to turn around and sell then that's a different ball game.

ktnws - interesting, because Home Depot combined the Decora with the Thomasville (I think the Decora's were a Masterbrand product as is Thomasville?) and when they did that our Home Depot anyway said Kindling wasn't still available that they could tell. They combined all their displays into one Thomasville display. Anyhow our cabinets are Maple on a Harmony door. We paid a pretty price for them (and honestly I only chose them over less expensive brands because it's the only cabinet color I finally found that was what I wanted!) - our contractor told us all the time that they are really quality good cabinets. Best of luck to you, hope you love them as much as we do!!!

mrst878 - it is honestly amazing how many decisions there are to be made and you just can't fathom it until you do a kitchen remodel. Best of luck to you!! I would say try not to overthink things too much - I mean I was truly the walking definition of it - but also in the end, I love every choice we made.

Never done anything like this, just a stay at home mom for 20+ years, I know kids and babies, not designing haha. But I just looked at lots and lots of pictures and tried to figure out what I liked and my husband honestly loved every choice we made. Appreciate your kind words!!

I will tell you we tried all sorts of pendants. Tons and tons. I hated them all. And the picture on the Lowes website of these is not flattering at all!!! I brought these home and my husband and our contractors absolutely loved them - and finally so do I :) We absolutely love them in our space, they look so cool. We don't actually use them much because we have so many can lights, but we love how they go from smokey to less smoky and are bright as the light bounces off of them without being on.
