I grafted two lemons back on 2/16/20 - one has been oozing a watery, sap-like substance from the rootstock. I noticed it two days after grafting and removed the parafilm, reapplied the rubber band and covered the tree with a humidity dome. The scion is dry/clean, but the rootstock is completely wet from the union, down. Should I pull the scion and try grafting to another rootstock? I’ve never seen this before - the sap is very watery and not clumped up like gummosis. The rootstock was perfectly healthy prior to grafting and the scion came from one of my lemon trees, also healthy. All tools were sterilized with bleach.
