We are near the end stages of a major remodel of a MCM home. The contractor just asked me for paint colors and I suddenly realized I had no idea how to proceed with these red brick foyer stairs. The walls (including an adjacent interior brick wall) will be white; windows are black; foyer tile is slate grey; and great room floors are parquet. Finally a bracket metal railing is being installed between the foyer and great room. It will be placed on top of the brick. Initially, I thought the brick stairs should be painted white like the walls but then began to worry that the white would contrast too much where it frames the parquet floor. So, now I am stuck - white, black, grey?
