My plumeria is in a pot and had 4 branches. last spring I made cuts on all 4 branches trying to encourage multiple branching(thinking i would at least have 8 new branches), but ended up with only one new branch on each cut, the cut was around 5” above the joint. Then I cut again in the summer, again ended up with only one new branch on each cut, everytime after cutting there were multiple buds (3 buds) forming but quickly went dormant, only one of them made it. Anybody can help me with this? Thank you!
