We are building a lake house on a heavily wooded lot in Wisconsin, and have a design dilemma concerning the interior window color. The house's primary focal point is the view of the lake from inside and therefore the inside window color is critical. We are installing dark ipe floors and soft beige cabinetry. Additionally, the interior windows will not have trim and concerned a light frame likely will look too delicate. Furthermore, the house's exterior will combine local stone, medium toned stucco and possibly brown clad windows. Our interior windows have always matched the trim, so I am stuck.
