I am wondering too. I contacted my son in south Nashville, he said the 2nd storm hit hard there but he had no real damage. Nasty. We had heavy wind and rain with quite a bit of hail it sounded. There are reports of trees down and car damage here. Not sure whether the car damaged are from falling trees or hail. Nothing like Nashville, and to hit downtown. I hope you are safe, Debra

I suspect power is out widespread and that is hopefully why she hasn't answered yet. I am gald you didn't have damage, Nancy.

I just glanced at the news this AM and saw there was a horrible tornado in Tennessee. I didn't connect it with daylilies. Gee, I hope Debra checks in soon.............Maryl

Yes, glad you are safe. Was up early checking on my daughter there. Heart is always in throat until you know. She is fine also but so much damage and so much grief. Heartbreaking.

I am so glad you are okay Debra. Good grief, Kate, I did not make the connection that Kara was in the Nashville.area and I should have. Debra and I have mailed Daylilies to each other, so that connection was there. So glad all friends and family are okay, but so sad about the damage and the ones who lost their lives.

Things are still precarious in Nashville with gas leaks and ammonia leaks, but our new mayor seems to be handling the crisis well. Many people had to be evacuated because of the leaks in addition to people displaced because their homes were destroyed. Mayor Cooper had shelters up and running early this morning and had arranged for meals and cots. It was Super Tuesday Primary here too, and many of the polling places either had no electricity, were damaged, or unable to be accessed because of trees and power lines down. Very early precincts were moved to safe zones and voting continued without too many problems. It's very sad about the loss of life. Bodies are still being pulled out of the collapsed buildings.

Such a sad commentary on modern life. With all that devastation you would think that the politicians et al could put a hold on the voting till at least next week. OMG . Where are their priorities .........not with the little guy obviously.

Heather - Here in Nashville there were places where the voting could be safely moved. Very few people were actually affected by the tornado compared to the total population of Nashville. I personally would have been very disappointed if I could not have voted on Super Tuesday. In the hardest hit county, which is a more rural area, voting was postponed.

That is so sad. We have had many tornadoes in this state, and most other Southern states and Oklahoma also have had them.

Kay - It is sad. They released the names and ages of the dead today. There were several children who died in Putnam County, TN.

It is just heartbreaking, Debra! So many chilren and young adults and even entire young families lives were taken by this storm. And so many people! Incredibly sad.
