Hello. We hope to get a new king tempurpedic mattress for our bedroom, but due to our narrow staircase our only option is a Split King mattress (or a smaller Queen mattress). We also plan to get an adjustable base ( if it is a King then each side could be raised independently). Has anyone here had a split King? If so, where the 2 mattresses meet was the gap/bump between them noticeable during the night? I guess, generally, I am asking if having two mattresses that meet to form a king differs in the sleeping experience from a single king.
