You have a bed skirt, but your duvet is too small...it should hang down at least to the bottom of your mattress. Dog seems to prefer your bed to his. For some color, add a nice piece of art above the headboard and on other empty walls. Since Dog shares the bed at will, everything must be washable and no-iron. Bed, Bath and Beyond will have decent prices and other stores will have sales. I would have three sets of sheets and duvets: on in use, one in the linen closet and one in the wash. Dog-color is probably the best choice.

Bedskirt looks to be too short. Maybe the bedskirt should pick up the blue in the ottoman. I don't know if this one is long enough, but I like the idea of a voile skirt on your bed.

Not sure this color will work for your room, but maybe one of the other colors might. So unique with the pom pom trim.

• For a queen size bed, I always purchase a king size duvet. The mattresses are so thick, you need the extra width of the larger size.
• I don't think enough can be said for simply layering a bed in crisp white linens. topping with a colored blanket & adding a few colorful Euro pillows or decorative pillows. The colored blanket should address dog issues so they can be laundered as required.
• We all have those fur babies that own our beds : )
