Ahhhh, the beauty of the spring ephemerals. It might look like england now, but not for long. We get to feel those cool european roots for a twinkle of the eye in spring. Meanwhile I am planting my desert asclepius liniara preparing for the heat.

I know, I know, but with judicious selection, the same borders stay Texas lush year round, cannas, clematis, gaura and the like lurk beneath ready to leap forward once the heat sets in. I’ll sprinkle in heat loving annuals and overwintering tropicals in a month or two. I water on average once a week if no rain and use rain barrels. . .
