Our current plan has a prep sink against a wall, with a small window nearby on a perpendicular wall and larger windows on the opposite wall. Our kitchen is fairly dark (it is on the NW side with a hill blocking some of the evening light) and the proposed prep sink location seems a little closed in. I don't want upper cabinets coming down to 16" above the sink. Rather than a blank wall or very short, high mounted uppers, would a mirror (mounted with the bottom around 16" above the countertop) work to lighten the space? Has anyone done something like this?
