I'd get a wider consoe for the tv as a start. Then, a bigger rug. And art, of course, but that's a personal choice.

I agree that the chaise is a bit too large for the space. Is there another room you can use it in? I also agree that a larger console would help. Add curtains to soften the wall behind the t.v. and slide the end table over a few inches from the arm of the love seat. Add a pretty plant to the table to help bring in some life and color to the room. I would look for a rug with some color in it and a bit larger. Perhaps a 6x9. Then pick a color from the rug for pillows to brighten up the dark sofas.

I would start with a long, low console, which will better fit the room while also adding to the asian/modern design you're looking for. Then use two large pieces of vertical artwork on each side of the tv, adding some color and style. A woven wood roman shade on the window would look nice.

Larger rug and no chaise (try it in the bedroom,) and when budget allows, consider changing the stair railing to a pony wall pre-wired for TV so you can flip TV and sofa locaions.

Do you have a lower level with game room? You have way too much furniture in this room and the scale is also too large. Move the chaise out for sure and even the coffee table is a lot for this room. Can the chaise and sofa butt up together? Can the fish tank go somewhere else? What is dimension of the room and sofa and love seat? I can try some scale drawing layouts to see what can be done, but you can't leave everything in this room. Sorry, just being honest.
