I’d plant it and then trim...rationale being that the cut will greatly dehydrate this one, then transplant shock for Singapore’s can be dramatic...they pout. You’d have better success with both plant/cutting. I’d plant it..wait for it to break ‘dormancy’, and then take cuttings. Dormancy for Singapore’s is usually not as extreme, if present at all.

I do not plant in the ground....they stay in the pots all year. I will be putting them outside in about 3 - 4 weeks. Do you still think I should wait or should I prune it now? Thanks!

Sorry I misunderstood what you meant by ‘spring planting’. Will you be keeping it in current pot or up-potting? If you won’t be disturbing the roots, cut away and begin the curing process. In my opinion, the pot already looks oversized so I’d keep it there for a couple seasons.

Yes...you are correct about the roots and the pot. I up-potted last year and was planning to leave it this year so no disturbing the roots. I think I am going to go ahead and prune...thanks once again for your great advice...!!
