I think you are headed in the right direction you just need to add some finishing touches! I would get some chair cushions that match the blue in the rug. Exchange the small photo on table with a lamp, add a plant replacing the small piece in middle of table. Add some art to the back wall. Maybe a plant stand in a corner. Replace pitcher on table with a larger one and fill with some fresh flowers or greenery from the yard.

I agree with lowering the painting a little bit, making the picture on side board a little bigger and finding a pitcher a little larger to suit the size of the table. I feel like a runner would go with your look on the side board, a simple one.

Whites and blues for pots/vases or trays on the table?

I’m thinking wood Or brass would blend into the table...

A group of pottery jars in pale blue of varying sizes would look nice in the center of the table, maybe 3? I don’t think I would put a table runner or scarf there. i think a frameless oval mirror below your art picture would look nice. You have very welcoming and peaceful area.

    1.Lower picture

2.Bring in some warm white drapery panels to soften the harshness of the deep color your woven shades are.

    3. Seriously consider doing some upholstered chairs to break up the abundance of the orange tone of the wood. Bring in some blue lamps for the side board to pick up on the color in your rug.

    4. Can the chandelier be lowered? It looks high but may be the angle of the picture.

    5. Get a nice sized tray for the table and move the plant to it with your pitcher and a third item like a candle on. a ceramic candle holder.

The picture size is fine, just lower it. Keep the plant. Remove those smaller items from the console & place a lamp there. I think those shades look oppressive & very dark brown. Any way you can replace them with something in a lighter, woven look? I love the paisley rug. It looks BoHo to me so I feel the light fixture is not quite right. It might work better if you lower it a bit? I have mixed feelings about chair pads. Most look messy & ill fitting. I think pads can add color with the right fabric in a pattern that mixes with the rug but that may require custom work. No runners or place mats on the table unless you like to use a place mat while dining. Otherwise, leave the table bare with the exception of a larger single item in the middle. The vase you have now is too little. If you want to bring in more color, add art to another wall. I think rooms with only 2 colors are boring & you essentially have blues & creams. Lots of colors go with blues...I'd look for something with green in it. I like the green color in the vase you now have on the table. Perhaps art work with green in it or a larger table item that is green?

Good ideas already. I would keep things pretty simple. Repeating gold 3 times, and adding more blue glass. I lowered the great picture. I put starburst gold mirror on far wall. That won’t distract from that picture.
