When my Mower uses excessive gas it tells me it’s time for some service on the 6 HP Murray. Usually Fresh Fuel, Clean Air Filter and Clean or New Plug gapped to specs. The mower was given to me 8-years ago disassembled. A quick assembly showed me good Fire and Compression and it has started 1st pull 90% of the time. It has been a total winner when I do my Part. With Ageing I wait too long or until I notice a problem vs my once schedules.

I feel Aging was why the gentleman could not reassemble the mower. Possibly the Brake was on and caused him to think it was locked as he reported. My point is we have to be honest and safe by respecting and reporting signs of Memory Matters. Most of all we have to give up some of our Maintenance Chores and Enjoyments “To Be Safe”! Not facing up to the matters could cause harm to you or others.
