Identfiy these small black flies in house

Hi all,

I'm struggling to eradicate the flies, pictured below, from the house which have settled in en masse.

My first thought was fungus gnats, although these do not have the long antennae. There were houseplants dotted around, but these have ALL been confined to one room now and there isn't an massive congregation of the flies in there as a result like I expected. I also use sticky traps and mosquito dunks in the water while watering from the bottom up which *apparently* should kill the larvae were they fungus gnats.

They're found hanging around all the windows in the house, most frequently in the kitchen. I've checked everywhere for a food source, and I cannot find anything that could sustain them. They seem somewhat attracted to cider vinegar and sticky traps which catches and kills a lot of them. It does seem they've gotten into another lifecycle/generation now as lots of smaller ones have emerged over the weekend.

Any help would be massively appreciated!
